This guide will display how to effectively insulate your conservatory for all year round use.
Conservatory Roofs are renowned for being extremely hot in summer, and freezing cold in the winter. Our Multifoil Insulation Kits are proven to create an ambient temperature all year round.
There are two types of Multifoils which can be purchased within the Kits – SuperQuilt Insulation & EcoQuilt Expert Insulation. Both are proven to save cost, space & labour time vs Traditional Insulation (Kingspan & Celotex)
Watch our information How-To-Guides for further information.

If the Conservatory Roof has a glass roof, we recommend the use of ThermaFrost Window Tint. The material will create a white opaque finish which will add privacy and also reduce sun glare. To view full installation details of this product, please visit the data sheet on the product page.
Next, install 25mm deep battens onto the UPVC beams. These are screwed onto the beams using the FastFix Conservatory Screws found in the Conservatory Kit.
Next, staple either SuperQuilt or EcoQuilt Expert directly onto the battens. You will receive a Heavy Duty Staple Gun & 5,000 14mm staples in the Conservatory Kit. Ensure all battens are covered with the Multifoils.
Ensure all SuperQuilt or EcoQuilt Insulation joints are overlapped by min 50mm. Ensure overlaps are fully taped and sealed using Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape. SuperQuilt can be easily cut using Multifoil Scissors or a Cutting Knife - Both available in our Multifoil Fitting Kit.
Once the Multifoil Insulation products are fully taped, sealed and overlapped, proceed with counter battens. 25mm deep counter battens. Ensure battens are also installed around the perimeter for your internal boarding.
To finish, either Plasterboard or Plastic Cladding can be installed as the final internal layer. The plasterboard is then screwed into the battens in the usual manner. When SuperQuilt or EcoQuilt is installed as the most internal insulation layer, there is no requirement for a foiled-back plasterboard. SuperQuilt will work as a high performing Vapour Control Layer, when taped and sealed using Thermaseal Foil Tape.
Enjoy your revived Conservatory all year round! The conservatory will keep cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and also significantly reduce rain noise.
