YBS BreatherFoil FR is a thin and flexible 2-in-1 Insulating venting membrane designed for the external side of timber-frame and modular buildings.

The product replaces a traditional breather membrane, whilst greatly improving the U-value (thermal performance) without increasing the depth.

BreatherFoil is a wind-tight, draught-free, weather-sealed product. It protects the timber frame components during construction, as well as when the construction is fully finished.

YBS Insulation’s BreatherFoil FR for Timber Frames can be installed in a factory scenario or on-site. You simply staple the material directly onto timber OSB Boards allowing the reflective foil to face the external of the property. BreatherFoil FR for walls should be overlapped by 75mm. The horizontal overlaps should remain un-taped, to allow any moisture to dissipate.
