This is most commonly installed on the underside of your Conservatory Roof and in conjunction with our Conservatory Insulation Kit.

This Cladding Kit conceals the insulation and provides a perfect space that you can benefit from using the room all year round, even in the peak of summer and winter.

We provide you with all the individual products that will enhance the aesthetics of your conservatory, making your conservatory lighter, whiter, and brighter.

What’s included in the ConservaClad Roof Kit?

ConservaClad Cladding – 9mm thick x 300mm x 5m

Our ConservaClad is the primary product within the kit – it’s the main cladding board (which boasts a 20-year guarantee). Our Conservatory Cladding is not only maintenance-free but also provides a clean and fresh finish to Conservatories.

ConservaClad Adjustable Angle – 5m x 70mm x 3mm

The adjustable angle is used to conceal joins and angles. Suitable for any angle between 0 – 180 degrees.

ConservaClad Flat Board – 9mm x 200mm x 5m

The flat board is used for the centre of the ceiling of the conservatory to give a professional and neat finish. These are not required for lean-to conservatories.

ConservaClad End Caps – 5m x 25mm

The end caps are used to hold the cladding in place around the perimeter of the conservatory and have a 10mm gap to slot the ConservaClad Cladding into place.

uPVC Saw

Easily cut ConservaClad down to size so you are able to ensure each piece fits neatly in place.

Polytop Pins

The Polytop Pins give a seamless white finish when attaching the ConservaClad to the wooden battens below, where the pins are visible.

Drywall Screws

The Drywall Screws secure the End Caps to the wooden battens. At the same time, they can also be used to secure the cladding in areas that will be covered.

How To Insulate Your Conservatory Roof
1. Installing ThermaFrost (Glass Only)

If the Conservatory has a glass roof, we recommend the use of our ThermaFrost Window Tint. This material will create a white opaque finish which will add privacy and also reduce sun glare by around 30% To view full installation details of this product, please visit the data sheet on the product page. Please note this cannot be used on Polycarbonate Conservatory Roofs.

2. Installing Timber Battens

Install 25mm wooden battens onto the existing uPVC and Aluminium framework. We recommend the use of our FastFix 50mm Self Tapping Screws. We would recommend to check the depth of your roof rafters as the screws are only designed to go part way through the aluminium frame.

3. Stapling The Multifoil To Battens

Staple either EcoQuilt Expert or YBS SuperQuilt to the underside of the wooden battens. This will have then created an air cavity between the multifoil and Polycarbonate/Glass Roof. We recommend stapling at 300mm intervals and using our Heavy Duty Staple Gun and 14mm Staples.

4. Taping and Sealing Insulation

Tape and seal all overlaps, cuttings and the perimeter with our ThermaSeal Foil Joining Tape (75mm x 50m roll). We recommend going overkill with the Foil Tape as this will allow the insulation to act as a high performing vapour control layer.

5. Installing Counter Battens

Fix 25mm x 38mm battens underneath SuperQuilt. This is commny installed horizontally. Deeper battens can be used if preferred or if your U-Value Calculation recommends to. Battens also must be fixed around the perimeter of windows and doors.

6. Install Internal Finish

To complete the installation you can now fit either a plasterboard or more commonly our ConservaClad Roof Kit. This can be screwed directly to the underside of the counter battens. If installing Plasterboard we recommend not to use a foil backed board and also to use a 9mm rather than 12.5mm board, as this will help keep the weight to a minimum.
