Achieve New Roof Insulation Regulations

Achieving new U-value targets has become increasingly difficult in the UK. New government part L documents recommend hitting a U-value on pitched and flat roofs of 0.15. Whilst this new U-value gives improved heat retention, achieving a U-value of 0.15 is likely to take up excessive space, cost too much money, or possibly both of these factors!

Multifoil-Insulation have created a complete system named TrioQuilt. TrioQuilt is a 3 part system, consisting of two fully accredited products, suitable for both pitched and flat roofs.

Below is a breakdown of what's included in our TrioQuilt 0.15 Roof Insulation System;

YBS SuperQuilt (Internal of Rafters) - 2 x Layers

Eco-Non Itch Wool (in-between rafters) - 1 x Layer

Using this system will achieve a U-value of 0.15. This is the most common u-value required for refurbishments and extensions projects in the UK, for pitched and flat roofs. (2022 onwards)

This is a proven system which will save tremendous costs compared to using Rigid PIR Insulation. In addition, labour time is significantly saved due to no requirement to cut insulation between rafters.

• 2 x Layers of YBS SuperQuilt (1.5m x 10m Rolls)
• 1 x Layer of 100mm EcoLoft Non Itch (9.12m2 per pack)
  • Available in two widths - 380mm or 570mm - 8m length
• Adequate Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape 75mm x 50m
• FREE Heavy Duty Staple Gun & 5K Staples - When ordering 30m2 Kit or greater
• Free Nationwide Delivery
• 1 - 2 Working Day Lead Time

Recommended Installation

• Breather membrane, tile batten & slate/tiles fitted from the outside
• From internal, fit 100mm EcoLoft Non Itch (centrally) in rafters
• Staple first layer of SuperQuilt taut under rafters
• Fix 25mm deep battens
• Staple second layer of SuperQuilt taut under battens
• Fix 25mm deep battens
• Finish with Standard Plasterboard

Note - the above installation is based on 150mm rafters or greater.
