  1. Installing ThermaFrost (Glass Only)

    ThermaFrost Installation

    For glass roofs, apply ThermaFrost Window Tint for privacy and reduced sun glare.

  2. Install Timber Battens

    Install Timber Battens

    Secure 25mm battens onto UPVC beams using the 50mm FastFix Conservatory Screws.

  3. Staple Multifoil Insulation

    Staple Insulation

    Staple SuperQuilt or EcoQuilt Expert onto the battens at 300mm intervals.

  4. Taping & Sealing Multifoil

    Tape and Seal

    Overlap insulation joints by 50mm and seal with Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape.

  5. Installing Counter Battens

    Install Counter Battens

    Fix 25mm counter battens over insulation to support the internal boarding.

  6. Install Internal Boarding / ConservaClad (uPVC Cladding)

    Install Internal Boarding

    Attach plasterboard or ConservaClad uPVC Cladding for a clean finish.

  7. Enjoy your new Conservatory!

    Finished Conservatory

Do you need to use the ThermaFrost Tint?

No, you don’t have to use it however it will help protect the insulation from sun damage because it helps prevent 60% of UV rays from getting through. It also gives a white opaque look to the roof of your conservatory rather than seeing the silver foil through the glass. ThermaFrost is not suitable for plastic or polycarbonate roofs.
